Donate your old eyeglasses!
What can I donate? You can donate any used and unwanted prescription or non-prescription pairs of old eyeglasses. We accept both plastic and metal frames, single-vision, bifocals, and progressive lenses. There is also a great demand for children's glasses. We will even take sunglasses (regular or clip-on) as there is an enormous need for sunglasses in countries near the equator where UV rays, which can cause severe damage to the eyes, are at their highest levels.
Where do I send my eyeglasses? You can send them in a padded envelope or box to:
EYEsee--Vision for the World
P.O. Box 957384
Hoffman Estates, IL 60169
United States
Where will my eyeglasses go? The eyeglasses are being sent overseas to various third-world countries via religious missions and qualified charitable organizations. Those involved in the missions will ensure that your pair of eyeglasses is given to someone that matches or comes very close to your prescription.
What else can I do to help? Join our annual eyeglasses collection campaign. Your donated eyeglasses will be sent to the poorest countries of the world where our partner humanitarian organizations have identified segments of the country's population that cannot afford the cost of a simple pair of eyeglasses. Presently, our beneficiaries reside in Haiti, the Philippines, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the West Bank, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Adopt Our Cause as a Scout Project
Consider collecting used eyeglasses as your service project and designate EYEsee as your partner organization.
